after eight days of exclusive events at cannes, vitaminwater added the icing on the cake yesterday when hosting one of the film festival’s most exclusive events: the hollywood reporter salute to jodie foster on the vitaminwater z plage. the a-list cocktail reception gathered elite celebrities and personalities including actor rob lowe, the hollywood reporter’s editorial director janice min and publisher lori burgess, to honor jodie’s greatest career achievements. 

vitaminwater and the hollywood reporter awarded the stunning oscar winning actress, film director and producer as she was in cannes to present her new film the beaver, also starring mel gibson. jodie’s close friend rob lowe toasted her inspirational career saying “I’ve learned so much from jodie. some of which I will share, some of which I won’t.” he later continued, “jodie’s loyalty is unparalleled. she gives child actors a good name.” but jodie decided to dish later on, revealing that in 1984, on the set of hotel new hampshire, rob and jodie were filming a love scene when lunch was called. the film crew left as they stayed in bed naked, spending time talking and getting to know each other. (but not to worry, they finally got to order lunch!) 

many of jodie’s friends attended our exclusive seaside event, hydrated by vitaminwater, including jim gianopulos, chairman of fox filmed entertainment, bollywood actress mallika sherawat, spanish actress arly jover, british actress fagun thakrar, french actress clotilde courault and her husband emmanuel philibert de savoie. 

and with that, vitaminwater at cannes 2011 comes to a close – and with a bang. au revoir and ‘til next year, cannes!
